Dr. Robertson is currently in his sixth year as principal at Salem High School. A twenty-three year veteran of education, Dr. Robertson has served as a classroom teacher, coach, and assistant principal. For the past three years, Dr. Robertson has served as a co-chair for Strategic Objective One for Compass to 2015, Virginia Beach City Public Schools Strategic Plan. During his tenure at Salem High School, the school has been recognized by Newsweek and The Washington Post as one of the top high schools in the country. In the past year, Salem High School has been home to the VBCPS Teacher of the Year, TCE Teacher of the Year, and TCE Counselor of the Year, as well as the Virginia VSTE Teacher of the Year. Dr. Robertson is proud to announce that Salem High School was selected to receive a grant in the amount of up to $360,000 from the Virginia Advanced Studies Strategy (VASS) organization that is an arm of the National Math and Science Initiative, designed to support and promote the Advanced Placement program.
