Elise Kail
Elise Kail was born and raised in Big Spring, TX as a part of a fourth generation Howard County family. She attended Angelo State University on an Academic and Athletic Scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Science. She also received a Master of Education from the University of Southern Mississippi, as well as principal mid-management and superintendents certification from the University of Texas at the Permian Basin.
Mrs. Kail first taught in Liberty Hill, TX and then moved back to her roots in West Texas as Head Volleyball Coach and Sophomore English Teacher at Lee HS. After three years she was named the Head Girls Basketball Coach at LHS and eventually became the first female Athletic Department Chair. After 13 years at LHS, Mrs. Kail moved into administration by becoming an assistant principal at Midland Freshman High School and took over principalship in 2004. She is currently the Executive Director of Accountability, Assessment, PEIMS & Research for Midland ISD.
Mrs. Kail is is most proud of her kids attending Midland High School and San Jacinto – Samantha and Sloan - as well as the love of her life Shane Kail. Additionally she is highly involved in activities at Crestview Baptist Church and has 2 dogs. Her favorite pastime is reading, technology, being with family, and harassing friends and family.
