Matthew Delaney

Matthew Delaney is an assistant principal at First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach. Mr. Delaney has been involved in VBCPS as a student, athlete, teacher, coach, and administrator. Prior to arriving at First Colonial, Mr. Delaney worked as an advanced placement psychology teacher and soccer coach at Princess Anne High School. Mr. Delaney received his undergraduate degree in secondary education from West Virginia University. Through The George Washing University, he earned his master’s degree in educational administration and is currently a doctoral candidate in the educational leadership and policy study program with an emphasis on organizational change.
