Robin Davenport
Robin D. Davenport, principal at Creeds Elementary School, is a nineteen-year veteran elementary teacher of grades 3 and 4 and a nineteen-year veteran administrator. He was a 2010 finalist for the National Distinguished Principals Program for the Commonwealth of Virginia and received the 2010 School Bell Award. Mr. Davenport's school has won the Pearl School Award, Governor's School of Excellence Award and for the past six years, the only school in the Commonwealth of Virginia to receive the Inviting School Award from the International Alliance for Invitational Education. Creeds Elementary continues to pass the Adequate Yearly Progress, No Child Left Behind, since 2001 as well as the Standards of Learning. Creeds Elementary is known as a KAGAN trained (Cooperative Learning, Multiple Intelligences, and Blueprint for a Cooperative School) school. Mr. Davenport was a presenter at The Futures Project at The Principals’ Academy presenting the session "Retention of Teachers." He has been the Past Chair of the Virginia Beach Elementary Principals’ League and is very active in his school community.
He has received the following awards:

- City Manager’s Award recognizing Quality Service—City of Virginia Beach
- PTA Life Membership
- PTA Distinguished Service Award.
Mr. Davenport is a graduate of the Virginia Beach City Public School System having attended the school where he serves as the principal now. Mr. Davenport received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia Wesleyan College and his Masters of Science in Education with an Administration Endorsement from Old Dominion University.
