Shelley Labiosa

Shelley Labiosa is a 15-year veteran teacher. She began her career as a middle school English teacher at Cave Spring Junior High/Middle School in Roanoke. After 10 years in Roanoke, she joined VBCPS as an English teacher at Lynnhaven Middle, where she currently serves. Labiosa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She worked in several venues before embracing education. Her decision to become a teacher came after two years as a kindergarten assistant with Roanoke City Schools. She earned her teaching credentials from Hollins College with endorsements in Early Education, Middle Education, and Journalism. In addition, Labiosa holds an eTeaching Certificate from the University of Virginia.
